Changes and going live:

You know it was a lovely day along the coast yesterday, sun, a cool
wind clear sky and even an event that made national news, so glad the
boat owner who had to leave his boat due to it catching fire got
off ok.

A great response by all concerned it was interesting to watch things
unfold on Twitter but also in person just off our coast.

Now with the second day of spring we seem to be back to well a day you
could almost regard as being winter again.

Even despite the grey sky I love looking at the clouds and the
dramatic look of them at times.

We are trying something new as we want to try and bring things to you
as they happen, I mean is that not what things are all about these
days.
It really seems like gone or going are the days that one has to wait
till the 6 pm news or the next hourly update to stay informed.

Now most of the live content comes off a iPhone 3GS when it is
happening so at times quality might not be the best as running video
via a 3G network is never the best.

Location: Lower Hutt/wider Wellington region
District: Wellington

Police are asking the public for assistance in locating the following vehicle:

ERQ552
Orangey coloured Toyota Carib Stationwagon

It is believed to be in either the Hutt or Kapiti Coast area although it may have travelled elsewhere in the Wellington region.

Police wish to urgently speak to the occupant of this vehicle and request any sightings of it this evening to be brought to their attention as soon as possible.

The details of the need for this inquiry cannot be passed on at this stage.
